The inspiration for Edge came from Classic Greek and Egyptian vases that are slightly raised up from the ground. Here, the base is an integrated part of the design in a reinterpreted Scandinavian version with an embossed imprint. Edge pots are hand-thrown and burned in the kiln. The colour shade and surface of the product can vary slightly from time to time. In that way, each pot is totally unique. An indoor version is also available.
The Danish design duo Stilleben (formed by Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft) have designed products for internationally recognised design brands such as Georg Jensen, Skagerak and Kähler. As store owners and designers they see it as their first job to constantly create new stories that reflect the time we live in.
Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft are both educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in glass and ceramics.
