A novel design with a personal touch, the Petite Friture Tavla collection is inspired by designer Padovani's heritage, blending modern design with time-honoured influences. Padovani's Iranian roots heavily influenced her exploration of the traditional backgammon tables played upon in the country, with the word Tavla being the Iranian word for backgammon. Clearly translating this influence into the Tavla Coffee Table, the solid graphical styling is expressed by a mix of natural and black walnut sections that make up the tabletop of the piece.
Pool is a design studio created by Léa Padovani and Sebastien Kieffer in 2010. These two former collaborators of Noé Duchaufour Lawrance are active members of the ‘nouvelle vague’ in French design. They create graphic objects with imbued richness in the details.
