A welcome addition to Nuura's established Apiales collection, the Nuura Apiales Wall Light portrays a similar essence of beauty and delight. Like the Apiales chandelier forms, the wall light is simplistic in structure with a minimal silhouette, taking a single stem to represent a flower blooming from the wall. With no visible screws, the brushed brass or satin black metal retains a minimal aesthetic while bolstering the contemporary look of Sofie Refer's design, ideal as a bedside lamp, in a hallway or kitchen.
Sofie Refer was born in Denmark, 1974. Between 1998 - 2003 she studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation - Institute of Product Design, Glass and Ceramics.
Her designs are based on Scandinavian simplicity combined with an extravagant look. Throughout her professional life she has focused on working with lighting design as she is fascinated by light in all aspects, convinced that lighting is the most important and powerful aspect in all environments.
She creates lighting design with the deepest respect and passion for light. In that process she constantly seeks for new ways to play with and express light, also by using new technology components and light sources.
