A study trip to Italy left Sinja Svarrer Damkjaer with a symbolic memory of observation while watching flower handlers in an Italian market. Seven delicate shades join together in a bouquet to form a modern chandelier that celebrates the stunning beauty of fresh tulip flowers. Natural materials and shapes unite together to form a soft, organic expression, with the textile braided cord and subtle oak detailing elegantly complementing the distinctive pleated shade. Hanging beautifully in any home whether over a dining or coffee table, the contemporary chandelier provides a warming, inviting illumination, creating a cozy glow that can act as an eye-catching focal point in a room. Part of the Bouquet collection.
Danish designer, Sinja Svarrer Damkjaer attained her Masters degree in Engineering at Aalborg University, specialising in industrial design.
Graduating in 2007, Damkjaer’s final project was the creation of the first version of The Bouquet, a fresh interpretation of classical cross-pleating in contemporary lighting design. Going on to work with Le Klint, the beautiful pendant was added to their collection, combining classical Le Klint cross-pleating with Damkjaer’s innovative, timeless designs.
