Born in 1932, James Wines is an American artist and architect, associated with environmental design.
Winner of the National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2013, he is the president and founder of SITE, the architecture, environmental art and design group founded in 1970 in New York. Wines has received more than 25 prestigious prizes and has collaborated with well-established design brands such as Foscarini.
