Table top and sides are made up of solid wood boards of 4cm thick. Two supporting beams set back beneath the table top provide stability.
The clearance underneath the beams is 61cm, leaving ample legroom. The corner joints offer a distinctive E15 design detail, where the top is milled to half of its thickness at the ends, which the sides then fit into.

Born in Mainz, Germany, Philipp Mainzer studied Product Design at Central Saint Martins College and Architecture at the Architectural Association in London.
During this time he established the furniture company e15 together with Florian Asche. Following several interior and furniture projects in England and Germany he moved to New York where he works as an architect and serves as creative director for e15 and Bergman.
