Constructed from rust and weather-resistant powder-coated steel, the tall Meira Oil Lantern is a timeless and durable illumination suitable for a wide variety of different outdoor spaces.
The light source consists of a wick drawing oil from a central chamber, burning with a wide and warming flame. Designed to be used outside year-round, the robust body of the lamp is enhanced by the addition of a steel cap that protects the wick from moisture when it’s not in use. Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen were inspired by the iconic forms of Greek and Roman temples, using columns and braziers as points of reference.
Founded in 2016 by Mads Sætter-Lassen and Emil Krøyer, having met at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the design duo specialise in creating honest, highly functional designs.
