Like the other pieces in the Cinquanta collection, the Floor Lamp features Vittoriano Vigano’s poseable spun aluminium frame. Mounted on a slender aluminium stem, the shade can be swivelled or tilted to provide direct light for working or reading, or upward lighting for a more relaxed atmosphere.
Graceful and elegant, the Cinquanta is ideally suited to a wide variety of different spaces, whether placed alongside a lounge chair or tucked away in the corner of a dining room.
Italian lighting designer Vittoriano Vigano was unanimously considered the most important Italian exponent of the ‘Brutalism’ movement.
In the early 1950s, Vittoriano Vigano became Art Director of Arteluce, the company founded by Gino Sarfatti, and designed numerous luminaires, later being exhibited worldwide. Vittoriano Viganò passed away in Milan in 1996.
