The pendant design unfolds effortlessly from a compact form into an airy chandelier of remarkable scale, balancing innovation, beauty and environmental responsibility in a single gesture.
Crafted from sanded oak and a recycled translucent mesh, its lightweight silhouette diffuses light with a soft, inviting glow. Designed using recyclable and natural materials, and powered by a replaceable bulb rather than an integrated LED, it offers a more considered approach to longevity. Gracefully suspended above a dining table, lounge area, or within a larger living space, Sorpresa offers warmth, atmosphere, and a striking sense of occasion.
Samuel Wilkinson graduated in furniture and related product design at Ravensboure College of Art & Design in 2002. While at Ravensbourne Wilkinson won several design awards, including the RSA award and D&AD New Blood. He went straight into employment working for leading consultancies such as Tangerine, Fitch:London, PearsonLloyd, and Conran. During these years he worked on various award winning projects for leading clients such as British Airways, Audi, LG, Samsung, and Virgin Airways.
