The Secrets of Finland collection is a unique series of ceramic ornaments, inspired by a set of gifts the Finnish delegation brought to Japan in 1919 to inaugurate Finnish-Japanese diplomatic relations. Each ornament celebrates a seasonal ritual belonging to the Finnish calendar the candleholders represent the Finnish tradition of girls dressing up as ‘Lucia’, taking part in a candlelit procession through the streets and proclaiming the victory of hope and love over despair.
An embodiment of how light can triumph over darkness, the petite, characterful candleholder can be picked up and moved from room to room; creating an inviting, cosy atmosphere through the alluring glow of candlelight.
