Part of the wider In Between series, The SK14 Lounge Table, is created using the same careful wood crafting methods as the larger pieces in the collection. A simple yet elegant design comprised of a circular tabletop and angled legs, the SK14 carries a gently curved silhouette, embodying Kallio’s sophisticated yet minimalist aesthetic.
A fusion of beautiful design and expert craftsmanship, the compact SK14 is available in a range of finishes; white oiled oak, smoked oiled oak and black lacquered oak making it the perfect addition to an array of interior tastes and styles.
Sami Kallio was born in Helsinki, Finland, and moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, at the age of two. In Kallio’s own words, his work combines the melancholy of the Finnish design heritage with the humour of the Swedish tradition.
In 2009, Kallio co-founded the Gothenburg-based furniture manufacturer Brikolör. The company aims to produce furniture with a guaranteed technical durability of 300 years. In 2011, he established Sami Kallio Studio, and launched his first collection, The Finnish Blood in Me.
