Mezcla, meaning 'mixture' in Spanish, refers to the table's unique, contrasting aesthetic, with each different section highlighted by a change in colour or material. This creates a diverse, eye-catching character. Whether positioned next to a sofa or armchair, or used in the centre of a living room acting as a statement piece, the Mezcla JH19 Table embodies a bold, refreshing design, crafted from exclusive and long-lasting materials.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
