The &Tradition Inbetween SK3 Dining Table Round, designed by Sami Kallio exudes beauty through Scandinavian simplicity. Part of the 'Between Gaps' series, the SK3 design reinterprets aspects from the Inbetween Chair aesthetic to make the idea pairing.
A circular design for a reason, the SK3 table is deliberate in its intention of encouraging intimacy and interaction when in use. The aim is that its shape dictates its placement within a space (needing a position away from the walls) causing it to take an active role within a room. The curvature of the design takes inspiration from the curve of the Inbetween chairs backrest and the angles of the legs of the table reflect the angles of the chair legs.
Designed to partner together with the Inbetween Chair, the SK4 design seats up to 3 of these chairs. That being said, the beauty of the table's slim silhouette and simple aesthetic make it an ideal match for any chair, in any setting.
The SK3, along with all of this family of tables, are created using the traditional technique of woodturning to shape wood. This pays homage to Kallio's love for Scandinavian heritage and tradition. The materials used further solidify this link to the past with solid sturdy oak, a reliable wood steeped in Scandinavian history. The result is a dining table with the uncanny ability to blend simplicity with beauty.
