We really do love seeing inside your homes - everyone has a completely different eye for design and the unique ways in which you style your spaces always leaves us filled with inspiration.
Recently, Wing Po used the advice of our product specialists to help with choosing the perfect pieces to add to his home. Excited to see how the spaces turned out, we were virtually welcomed into this beautiful Hong Kong home for a little look around…
What were your initial intentions when curating your home?
I wanted to create a home that was both simple and cosy. I love to see expertly designed furniture around me when I’m at home.
When it comes to the designs you have selected - how were they chosen? (Some may have been considered over time, others more an instant love/must have. You may have had a Wishlist since seeing an item on a trip for instance). And how did Ashlee’s advice help during this process?
I selected designs mostly based on instant love, on first sight of them. When spotting furniture and lighting that I like, I would search for them online to see how they look in different environments - such as how they were styled with nearby furniture or the colour of the room they were in. I especially love designer chairs and do research on who designed it, the idea behind it and the history of the piece.
During the process, Ashlee would comment on what I selected and made me confident in selecting it.
With the pieces you chose, what were the overriding factors in the decision? (Be it comfort, dimensions for the space, aesthetic, colour availability, love of a designer, type of light emitted etc.)
My first factor is aesthetic, and then comfort.
Your home features lots of lovely personal touches – what do you think it is that makes a home?
Home is the place that I can stay for a very long time without any uncomfortable or impatient feelings. The visuals and feel of lovely furniture makes me relax.
How has Nest helped you?
