Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto met in Lausanne, Switzerland, where they both studied at ECAL. After completing their Masters Degrees, Giorgia began working at Fabrica (the Benetton Research Center), while Daniele worked for Swiss designer Adrien Rovero.

Giorgia and Daniele founded Zanellato/Bortotto Studio in Treviso, Italy, in 2015, and have since collaborated with several Italian and International design brands like Rubelli, Moroso, Alcantara, Florim among others. Their work has been exhibited in galleries and museums such as MAXXI Rome, Triennale Design Museum, Museo Poldi Pezzoli.
