Jonas Bohlin was born in Stockholm in 1953. He has a constructional engineer degree in 1974 and graduated in interior design at The College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm 1981.
It started with a sort of scandalous success in 1981 with the concrete chair named “Concrete”. It was meant as a sculpture but became made in a limited edition and is today a collector’s item. Jonas Bohlin works with furnitures, lighting, glass, textiles, objects of art and installations.
Jonas Bohlin has had his architect office since 1983. He is teaching at Beckmans School of Design since 1988 and is also professor in interior architecture at The College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm. He has got several prizes, awards and distinctions and has taken part in exhibitions all over the world.
