'Tavla' meaning backgammon in Iranian, becomes the artistic expression point for this graphically decorated table. Taking reference from the commonplace backgammon tabletop surface, the Extensible Oval Table is eloquently pieced together from natural and black walnut. Combining the classical technique of marquetry - a traditional craft using inlaid shapes of varying colour with contemporary minimalism, the table becomes enriched with a striking inverse puzzle of geometric pieces in a simple oval form. Easily extendable, revealing a more intricate pattern, it is the perfect addition to an eclectic contemporary home, a strikingly confident and practical design. For more compact living spaces the smaller Petite Friture Tavla Round Wood Table is also available.
