The inspiration for the Compile Shelving System came from the everyday need for a universal storage unit. The design, with its logical construction and unpretentious Scandinavian style, features a shelf which represents one building unit while the length of the tube defines the height of the unit. In this simple way, one can assemble practical configurations which are suitable for both home and contract environments.
Perfectly utilised within a living room, study or kitchen, it is ideal for storing or exhibiting personal possesions and everyday items.
Cecilie Manz was born in the Odsherred region of Denmark. As the child of parents occupied with art and design, designing always formed a natural part of her life. In 1998, a year after she graduated from the Danish School of Design she started her own studio, Manz Lab, the centre of her work ever since.
