One of the most iconic designs in furniture, the Butterfly Chair was originally designed in 1938 by architects Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy, Juan Kurchan and Antonio Bonet. Taking inspiration from the late 19th century ‘La Tripolina’ model, the design applies Italian leather and wood in a foldable chair style. Taking the essential form of the chair, Lars Kjerstadius, founder of Cuero Design, elevated the initial design with a larger seat and a focus on comfort.
An excellent alternative to the Leather Butterfly Chair, the Canvas Mariposa offers breathability with a 100% cotton cover.
