How do you contribute?

As an Accounts Assistant/Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance and administration function of the business.

You will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Your duties will include:

• Reconciling bank statements and assisting with monthly accounts preparation.
• Importing CRM information onto our accounting system.
• Maintaining and updating financial records and filing systems.
• Assisting with purchase order management and stock invoices.
• Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice or payment queries.
• Providing general administrative support to the finance department and senior management.
• General administrative support to the team – Including import clearances, invoice processing and supplier payments.
• Ensuring complete confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times.

What type of person are you, to really excel in this role?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in a similar finance or administrative support role or is someone starting their AAT Journey.
• Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Is numerate with a strong understanding of financial processes.
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Takes initiative, is reliable, and thrives in a busy environment.
• Is confident working independently and as part of a small team.
• Is comfortable working with senior managers and handling confidential information.
• Has a flexible attitude and is happy to support other areas of the business when needed.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software (e.g. Sage 200).
• Experience with payment merchants is desirable but not essential.
• Strong administrative skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the business.
