Born and raised in Copenhagen, Jens Moller-Jensen first started out as a medical and technical instrument engineer, and by 1964 had graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. After graduating, Jensen became the head of the workshop at the Royal Danish Academy and in 1967 founded his own design office. Known for creating designs for television sets, railway systems and developing a range of graphic signposts and boards, Jensen has worked closely with the Danish Highway Authority and Danish State Railways. Transferring this skillset to create designs for brands such as Louis Poulsen, Jensen's 'Satellit' post tops outdoor luminaries have been used for decades in many locations throughout the world.
