The Kartell Ami Ami chair is inspired by the play of warp and weft in woven fabric. Tokujin Yoshioka wanted to use this stylistic symbol typical of his culture, weaving, and thus recreated it in the Kartell Ami Ami chair. Ami Ami in Japanese literally means to "weave".
