Elena Somalo was a graduate in Graphic Design from the American University in Washington, D.C. Afterwards she moved to New York to work at Louis Nelson Associates, continuing her studies in Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts. Upon returning to Barcelona and after working in many studios, she set up her own design studio. Her work in the Graphics field covers mainly editorial work for cultural institutions and corporate image for private companies. In 2008, she moved to London to study Surface Design at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design. Since then, she has created textile designs for Victorio & Luchino, a rug collection for KP, tiles for Hidraulico and indoor murals.
