Marset – Taking Care of Light
Utilising decades of experience and working with a diverse mix of innovative designers, the lighting brand Marset is all about creating atmospheres with character.
Originally established in the 1940s as a family business dedicated to casting metals, Marset has since grown into a highly-respected lighting brand that is committed to building a more sustainable world for future generations.
Besides impeccable quality, Marset’s designs are recognised for a number of distinctive factors: their functionality, simple charm and interesting influences behind the aesthetics.
Clever in function
Consistently striving to explore new directions, Marset is always at the forefront when it comes to the latest technology and developments.
Established designer Lluís Porqueras has always sought simplicity in his designs and the former Funiculi was no exception. Originally inspired by the typical student lamp from over 30 years ago, Porqueras wanted to create a lamp that provided maximum functionality with minimum fuss.
Featuring the same double-clip mechanism as the original, the updated 2013 Wall Light version offers a more contemporary alternative on a smaller scale. With easy height adjustment and 360º shade rotation, the Funiculi Wall Light can quickly be adapted to suit your interior and requirements.
Great design solves problems and the FollowMe Lamp does this in the smallest and most intriguing of forms. From a cosy family dinner in your home to a camping trip in the woods, the FollowMe Lamp is designed to be there for you wherever you go. With its rounded easy-grip handle, the FollowMe Lamp is suitable for both adults and children alike.
‘My favorite kind of light is candlelight, with its flickering flames. It is a living light with the movement of lights and shadows. A light linked to firelight, a fire that hypnotizes, a light that relaxes.’ – Inma Bermúdez
This clever little design from Inma Bermúdez is fitted with a built-in rechargeable battery, which will keep the light glowing for up to 5 hours at its full potential and 20 hours at its least. This makes the FollowMe Lamp the perfect alternative to candlelight or the conventional torch, when electrical outputs aren’t within easy reach.

One of the most beautiful things about Marset’s designs is that they’re often decorative in nature, but simple in form and material.
Giving off a warm glow of indirect light, the Ginger P Floor Lamp is perfect for creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Simple in appearance, the Ginger P Floor Lamp creates its intrigue through the unusual flat-top shade, which is moulded from wood.
Inspired by an imaginary fruit with its bulbous and succulent shape, the Maranga Suspension Light is composed of 32 slice-like pieces that fit together to allow small slithers of light to escape. Just like the Ginger Floor Lamp, this intricate design helps to prevent glare, resulting in a soft, warm glow.
Sparking the imagination
Emotive in nature, Marset’s designs often tell their own individual story, demonstrating different influences and capturing the senses.
Transporting you to the quiet surroundings of a dimly-lit harbour, the Santorini Pendant Light for outdoors is reminiscent of the small lanterns that are hung around fishing boats and piers.
Fully customisable, the Santorini Pendant Lights can be hung in multiple compositions, whether you choose to suspend them individually or in a cluster. You can also choose how many shades to place on the diffuser and in which order, altering the position and direction.
The working processes behind the Hazy Day Suspension Light
This filtered effect is created through the processes of glass blowing and sandblasting by hand, which have been utilised in such a way that the lamp creates the illusion of a double source of light. The shade also fades from a sandy matte finish to a shiny transparent gloss, creating a lucid effect.
