Pink, fashion’s colour of the season, has transcended into the realm of interiors in a big way
No longer a colour associated with archaic florals and dated décors, pink has had a modern-day make over.
Prestigious design houses from Vitra to Fritz Hansen are all embracing the trend and are producing a wealth of goods in a selection of hues to suit all homes and styles. There are sofa collections from Vitra, hand knitted rugs from GAN and accessories in all shapes and sizes from Muuto.
As the most desirable colour of the season, it’s lucky that the colour has a distinct one-size-fits-all approach; the colour can literally mould itself to almost all interior schemes. Pink furnishings and accessories are equally at home in a simple Scandinavian home as they are in an ultra-modern, eclectic penthouse. What is more, pink can be whatever you want it to be – simple and sophisticated, playful and daring, or dainty and feminine. Encompassing all these though is the feeling of calm – it is never excessive and always relaxing.
Be brave and opt for a main furnishing in pink such as a lounge chair or over-sized rug. Or, for the colour-shy, pick an accessory in the palest of hues. Whatever you go for it's bound to add style and sophistication to your space this coming season.
Our picks for the season include Vitra’s Alcove Plume Sofa, Fritz Hansen’s Ro Chair, GAN’s Kilim Naidu Rug, Cappellini’s Meltdown Lamp and Muuto’s Elevated Vase, but there are plenty more pieces to choose from in our online shop. Browse our full collection at Nest.co.uk.
Will you embrace the pink revolution?
