Part of Oki Sati's collective vision for Wastberg's w132 Nendo lighting collection, the s3 pendant light features a graceful dome shade. Spun from robust steel, the soft curves of the shade conveys a light and elegant appearance to the otherwise stark and graphical collection. Available in a selection of soft colourways, the black, white or blue finishes complement the minimalistic aesthetics of today's interiors. Ideal as an overhead light for a kitchen island or dining room, the Wastberg w132 Nendo s3 looks distinguished as an individual piece and when also arranged in a cluster with the s1 and s2 pendants.
Behind the Nendo trademark is Oki Sato, the Japanese designer born in Canada in 1977. Sato graduated in 2000 from Tokyo's Waseda University and went on to specialise in Architecture (2002). While still a student, in 2002, he won the Gold Medal at the Koizumi International Lighting Design show, in addition to many other awards.
Oki Sato founded Nendo Design Studio in 2002 and has since gone on to product contemporary designs for Cappellini, Foscarini, Wastberg and Louis Poulsen.
