The neutral colours and floral patterns in the Antique Rug bring warmth to any room. The weaving technique used in this collection, known as hand knotted sumak, is the result of a great amount of work and imagination on the part of the Indian weavers. A thin braid is formed knot by knot, thus acquiring a distressed look, but at the same time producing a high-quality result.
Nani Marquina studied industrial design at the Massana school in Barcelona. In 1973 she began her activity at the Selles-Marquina Architecture Studio and soon opened a store, 'Self-Decor', dealing in interior decoration projects. It was here that she developed her first rug designs.
In 1987, she established the brand nanimarquina. Influenced by Nani's creative background and desire for innovative designs, the brand are an outstanding pioneer of modern and contemporary rugs.
