The Smart wood project, from the mind of Philippe Starck, continues to research material innovation, based upon the idea of transforming natural materials into industrial products. Using patented technology the P/Wood Dining Chair is worked within a mould to create a beautifully smooth silhouette of exquisite curves and three-dimensionality. Unlike many other chairs, the curvature of each panel runs right to the very edge; created by bending the pliable material in two different directions. Whether used in combination as an inviting seat around the dining table or alone as an occasional side chair the P/Wood Chair offers a place of welcoming comfort.
