Inspired by traditional parquet flooring, a combination of geometric shapes combined with specially selected splashes of vibrant colour create depth and three-dimensionality. The Tetragon rug allows for multiple interesting configurations thanks to its asymmetrical format, add another rug and watch the configuration evolve. Tightly woven on a manual loom using the finest natural wool, the idea of illusion and perception is evident in the recurring puzzle of square and rectangular shapes. Part of a series of three rugs, the Parquet collection adds sensory high-impact detail to your interior. Use in multiples for larger open-plan spaces or if your living space is a little cosier, the Tetragon rug is just as eye-catching in its smaller variation.
Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren form the innovative design group Front, located in Stockholm, Sweden.
Their approach to design is based around common discussions, explorations and experiments with the studio offering a comprehensive attitude towards their work. Front designs objects that present a story to the observer that is open about both the processes and the materials involved in their production, and in turn challenge conventions within the design field. Contemporary and highly unique, Front produce work that both defines an era and will stand the test of time.
