A trio of striking reversible rugs form the Parquet collective. An arrangement of geometric shapes combined in bright and light shades allow the piece to gain depth and three-dimensionality. Experimental in design, the Parquet Rhomb adds a sense of elegant illusion to your home, the perfect focal point for lounges, hallways and dining areas. Diamonds or squares, dependent on the perspective of which the rug is viewed, connect forming a meticulous puzzle of geometric configurations. Crafted in the finest natural materials using an artisanal hand-loom method, the rug takes on a light and flexible presence with no pile. The asymmetrical styling allows for the possibility of larger variants when adding more than one rug, a playful feature suited to large open plan living areas.
Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren form the innovative design group Front, located in Stockholm, Sweden.
Their approach to design is based around common discussions, explorations and experiments with the studio offering a comprehensive attitude towards their work. Front designs objects that present a story to the observer that is open about both the processes and the materials involved in their production, and in turn challenge conventions within the design field. Contemporary and highly unique, Front produce work that both defines an era and will stand the test of time.
