Defined by the simplistic flower design and singular petals, the Bluebell Rug takes inspiration from the floor of a florist's shop. Like its floral counterparts, the Eucalyptus and Fleur rugs, the Bluebell features a blank base with floral shapes placed spontaneously around. Crafted from rich New Zealand wool, the piece has a natural lustre, accentuating the contrasting colours and calming design. By applying the traditional hand tufting technique, Asplund collaborates with highly-skilled craftsmen, assuring that the hand-made rugs are created to the highest possible standard.
Design duo Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstrale established their Sweden-based design and architecture studio in 2006.
