Biblioteket, meaning library in Swedish, was the inspiration behind Emma Olbers' design. Commissioned to furnish the Old Library in Sweden’s National Museum, the Asplund Biblioteket Rug features a blend of Olbers’ initial library drawings. The rug depicts three windows and lines of bookshelves in a muted combination of green and pink tones. Crafted from finely hand-knotted Tibetan Thin, a mix of wool and Tencel, the shorter pile and more delicate cut showcases the intricate design. A true centrepiece in any space, the Asplund Biblioteket Rug creates interest in a private home, office or open-plan space.
