Gidon Bing is a Sculpter and Ceramicist. His influences are European Modernism and Primitivism and his craft has been developed from time spent working closely with classically trained master craftsman in Europe and Asia. Gidons work is driven by the simple tactile pleasure of working with organic materials and the love of essential, expressive and pure forms. He uses techniques such as traditional Japanese wood bending, carving, turning and mold making. His work has been acquired by collectors in Europe, America and Australasia.
