5 Ways with Colour
You may have noticed, we’re all huge fans of colour here at Nest. Whether its pinks, blues, yellows, golds or pastels, we love adding colour where we can as a bright space can really make a difference to your mood and wellbeing.
So this week’s blog takes a look at how we can all use colour in our homes – no matter what room.
To start us off we have this wonderful dining space from STUA. Colour needn’t always be bold – start to introduce colour with soft pastels which will add warmth and will help create a homely feel. Get the look with a collection of mix-matched Globus Chairs in pink, taupe, blue and cream, and finish with a colourful pendant.
If strong, bold statements are your thing, take a leaf out of Normann Copenhagen’s book and theme your room around a particular colour. Choose accessories in tonal shades to tie the look together and to give the room depth. We love the image below which features an Onkel Three Seater Sofa in deep aubergine, a Block Side Table, Tablo Table and Hive Lamp. Purples are a great choice for a living space as they create warmth and are practical too.
Bedrooms are a place for calm and relaxation, but a few subtle colour additions can really bring the space alive. We love using coloured bed linen as a way to inject small doses of colour. Try Hay for some adventurous designs by colour specialists Scholten & Baijings.
A storage unit in a bright shade is a stylish choice. Montana offer a fantastic service where you can choose your own composition in any one of their 49 colour options. We adore the lilac and yellow combinations as seen below, but they offer every colour from post-box red to sky blue. Discover more from Montana and what they can do for you on our brand page.
Finally, take inspiration from Muuto where soft hues punctuate piercing white interiors. Invest in a goes-with-everything sofa in peachy pink and accessorize with purple, yellow, green and grey accents.
