The result is a self-contained piece featuring both a shade and light in one. The Fin range also includes a obround pendant and a table light
The Fin light is an ode to engineering and an introduction to new and rapidly changing lighting technologies.
Fin proudly exposes its inner workings, taking usually invisible electrical components and making them the hero of the design. The result is a self-contained piece featuring both shade and light in one.
A heat sink, an extruded aluminium component used to cool electrical equipment, is given centre stage forming the body and structure of the fixture. The slatted aluminium cooling fins act as both the irregular body while their large surface area increases efficiency by cooling the LEDs within.
Designed to give an intense brightness, the 6 high powered Kree LED diodes are magnified through a giant acrylic lens to give a broadened beam of light.
Making a feature of every mechanical element these 6 modules are fixed to an exposed printed circuit board proudly visible through the lens.
