Focus on Terence Woodgate's Solid Pendant
Solid is Terence Woodgate’s first highly anticipated collection, comprised of perfectly engineered pendant lights.
Solid is Terence Woodgate’s first highly anticipated collection, comprised of perfectly engineered pendant lights. Woodgate chose simple materials such as Carrara Marble, Nero Marquina Marble and Walnut based on durability and functionality.
The Carrara Marble version is particularly striking as it has the translucency of skin, allowing a gentle glow to omit through the surface. We have disassembled the light to take you through the different components.
1) Ceiling rose: The Solid lights come with a conical steel ceiling fixing, powder coated in semi-matt white
2) Shade: The Solid collection is designed with a cooling air flow system for maximum life and efficiency
3) Unique support design: This support design system allows for the fitting to be adjusted, so that the light hangs completely vertical for a direct even beam
4) MEGAMAN LED lamp: Solid is optimised for MEGAMAN high lumen output LED lamps, which are highly energy efficient with a long life span and excellent glare control
Packaging: Just like the lighting collection itself, the Solid brand identity is minimal and refined. Designed by Charlie Smith Design, the packaging features simple typography and is the same size for each lighting variation. The stickers and accompanying manuals are a vibrant, rich yellow, which is a reference to light.
